The Tao Digital Photo Frame is a cute little accessory that's no more troubling to carry than your house keys and, just like your house keys, you'll always do better to take it with you wherever you go. With its petite but pixel-packed 1.5" screen, it's a tiny but sharp way to carry your favourite snaps around with you.
With the capacity to hold over 100 such snaps, you can impress all and sundry with a surprisingly large compendium of photos in glorious 128 x 128 pixel detail. At any rate, it's a darn sight easier than carting an actual photo album with you when you want to show people how amazing your holiday was. Unless it was rubbish and rainy, in which case just put some photos of your dog on there. Never fails.
Anyway, these little windows into photographic history come in either black, red or pink and are recharged via USB connection to PC or Mac. With a full charge they'll last up to a whopping 4 hours, and even longer in sleep mode (who wants to look at photos for 4 hours at a time anyway?). The rechargeable lithium-ion battery is good for about 2 hours continuous sleuthing (with a full charge of 2-3 hours). It's got a whopping 2GB capacity as well, so you don't have to worry about clogging it up with pictures of your upside-down face, and getting your vids and pics off the watch and onto your computer is easy. Just plug the included USB cable into a port and treat it in the same way you would any other digital camera - your recordings will then be ready to upload to YouTube or send to whichever client you're doing some private work for. Because it's such a convincing watch as well (it tells the time and everything!), you'll be able to snap and film all you like - and not a soul will know you're doing it.
This oversized LEGO chappy has a little surprise underfoot - an extremely useful LED light. Obviously that's not the norm for one of the bricky brethren, but it makes a lovely item for your keyring and, indeed, your pocket. All you need to do to make his tootsies sparkle is press the little LEGO logo (try saying it ten times quickly), and before you know it the lights will twinkle.
It's actually rather bright, too, so ideal for those nocturnal moments when the keyhole eludes you. Of course, being that he's something of a giant compared to most LEGO men, you could always crown him as some sort of Lego deity amongst your smaller figures and have him stomp around like Godzilla, but that's probably missing the point. He'll be far happier in your pocket and lighting your way home.
